RULE FILING REMINDERS: |
Please review the following two rule filing reminders and keep them in mind as you prepare future filings: PUBLIC HEARING NOTICES AND REVISED/REFILED FILINGS It is only necessary to upload a public hearing notice to a package for a revised or a refiled filing if you are also revising the public hearing notice. If you need to revise or refile one or more rules in a package but do not need to make changes to the public hearing notice as originally filed, DO NOT upload the notice again. CURRENT EFFECTIVE DATES AND NO CHANGE FILINGS When filing a rule as a no change rule, you are not given an opportunity to enter a rule's current effective date. A no change filing does not change a rule's current effective date. For example, a rule with an effective date of 1/1/04 continues to have an effective date of 1/1/04 even after a 12/1/08 no change filing. LSC and JCARR suggest that you enter a rule's current effective date as a prior effective date when filing the rule as a no change. This will ensure that the most recent effective date is not lost and will allow a user of the Register of Ohio or other commercial publication to see the most recent effective date on the printed no change filing. If you have any questions about either of these issues, please contact the ERF Help Desk at 614-387-2078 or erfhelpdesk@lsc.ohio.gov.
