RAS Annual Maintenance Fee Invoices from i4i |
A company by the name of Infrastructures for Information (i4i) developed the Rule/RSFA Authoring System (RAS) software, which agencies use to draft rules for electronic filing. As with most software programs, each agency had to purchase a license from i4i for each copy of the software that it installed on its computers. Prior to July 1, 2004, agencies were also required to pay an annual maintenance fee to i4i. However, effective July 1, 2004, LSC advised that agencies no longer pay any invoices issued by i4i for annual maintenance fees because LSC was no longer looking to i4i for technical support of the product. It has been brought to our attention that i4i has again been issuing invoices for annual maintenance fees. Often these invoices are sent directly to an agency's fiscal department. Please check with your agency's fiscal department to determine if your agency has received an i4i invoice for S4/TEXT OHIO RULE/RSFA Authoring Software Maintenance/Annual Support. If your agency has been invoiced by i4i, LSC is again advising that agencies DO NOT PAY this fee to i4i. Any RAS technical support that an agency may need can be obtained by contacting the ERF Help Desk at 614-387-2078. Should you have any questions about this or about an i4i invoice that your agency has received, please contact the ERF Help Desk. Thank you, Posted to the Rule Filers Mailing List on July 17, 2008 |
