Deletion of data in ERF System |
The Electronic Rule-Filing (ERF) System began with a six-month test period that ran from 10/1/01 through 3/31/02, during which time rules were filed both electronically and on paper. It was not until 4/1/02 that electronic filing became the sole means of filing a rule. During the test period, the paper filing was considered the official filing of the rule. The time has come to eliminate the electronic test period data from the ERF System because, not only is it unofficial, but some of the data is inaccurate. Therefore, LSC/LIS plans to delete all electronic test filing data from 10/1/01 through 3/31/02 from the ERF System. What this means for you is that, once this data is deleted, you will no longer be able to access it from the ERF Website. This data is currently available through the History screen on the ERF Website. You will still be able to access archived electronic filings executed from 4/1/02 to the present, just not electronic filings executed between 10/1/01 and 3/31/02. If you choose to do so, you will have one week to access the information and save the documents as pdf files or print hard copies for your records before the data is deleted. The last day to access these documents will be Friday, May 19, 2006. If you need any assistance requesting rules through the Rule Filers Website, please contact the ERF Help Desk at 614-387-2078 or erfhelpdesk@lsc.ohio.gov.
