When submitting a request for LSC to prepare rules in XML format for electronic filing (www.registerofohio.state.oh.us/RuleRequest/jsps/chooseOption.jsp), please keep the following in mind:

* IF YOU HAVE NEVER REQUESTED THAT THE RULE BE PREPARED FOR ELECTRONIC FILING, you should request the rule by selecting "Submit rule filing schedule" and providing the required information.

* IF A REQUEST HAS PREVIOUSLY BEEN SUBMITTED FOR A RULE, you should re-request the rule by selecting "Change rule filing schedule," entering the agency and division number of the rule, and clicking "Edit" to the right of the desired rule number. You will then have to enter the new file date and date needed and click "Submit." This will send the new request for preparation to LSC.

* IF YOU RECEIVE THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE WHEN REQUESTING PREPARATION OF A RULE, it means that the rule has previously been requested and you must edit the rule request:

"Rule Number xxx-x-xx has already been entered. Would you like to edit the rule number or download the rule?"

Click "Edit," enter the new file date and date needed and click "Submit" to send the request to LSC.

* IF A REQUESTED RULE HAS BEEN FINAL FILED IN THE LAST 60 DAYS, please call the ERF Help Desk (614-387-2078) after entering the request to alert LSC that the rule is being re-requested. This will ensure that the most recent version of the rule is made available on the download site.
