The Register of Ohio (www.registerofohio.state.oh.us) has been expanded to include publication of all currently pending, recently adopted, and recently withdrawn rules filed by every state agency, except for public colleges and universities. Previously, only proposed and emergency 119.03 rules and no-change rules were published in the Register.

Effective Friday, May 7, the following documents are published in the Register:

* Text and Rule Summaries and Fiscal Analyses (RSFAs) of all proposed rules, whether proposed under R.C. Chapter 119., R.C. section 111.15, or any other statute;

* Public hearing notices filed with proposed rules;

* Text of adopted rules, including internal management rules (for 180 days), but excluding rules of public colleges and universities;

* Text of all emergency rules (for 91 days);

* Text and RSFAs of no-change rules (for 90 days);

* Text and RSFAs of all withdrawn proposed rules, withdrawn final rules, and rules placed in "To Be Refiled" status;

* Guides to Administrative Rule Making published by state agencies under R.C. 119.0311, filed with LSC, and made available to the public;

* Public notices concerning Medicaid rules, Ohio EPA rules, and Agricultural Commodity Marketing Programs.

The document purgation schedule has been modified to accommodate the increased number of documents published in the Register. See the Publication and Purgation Schedules link on the Register home page for information about how long a rule will be published in the Register.

Rule history feature

For as long as the Register publishes current information about a rule, it also will make available the history of that rule number, and the associated rule-making documents, since July 2000. This history is accessible through a link at the bottom of the screen displaying information for the individual rule number. Historical information is not available for rules that are not currently published in the Register.
