What's New on the ERF website - May 1, 2002

On May 1, 2002, the following changes were made to the ERF website. If you have questions, don't hesitate to call the ERF Help Desk at 614-387-2078.

MAJOR CHANGES
====================

1) The "Prepare Revised Filing" and "Prepare Refiled Filing" buttons have been merged into one button. The new button is labelled "Prepare Revised/Refiled Filing". The ERF system will calculate if the filing is being made in the revise or refile window. This is being done to help those agencies who don't always have time to calculate this for themselves.

2) When uploading an .xml document, the system will check its rule number, rule type (new,amend,rescind), and document type (rule,RSFA,etc.). If these don't match the information you entered when assigning the rule to the package, it will be rejected.

3) The ERF system will only accept standard file types when uploading documents. These are .xml, .pdf, and .zip. All other formats will be rejected.

4) The words "CERTIFIED ELECTRONICALLY" appear on the certification line for rules that have been final filed (including emergency, IM, school, and special rules) and on no change rules. The words "WITHDRAWN ELECTRONICALLY" appear on the certification line for proposed or final rules that have been withdrawn.

MINOR CHANGES
====================

1) The replacement line field has been expanded to allow for more text.

2) If any rule in a package has been designated for filing with the Office of Small Business or the Dept. of Aging, these agencies will appear on the cover letter. This will serve as your confirmation that the filing has been made with these agencies.

3) Sorting by package number on the package list screen has been corrected to include all packages even if they span multiple pages.

4) If a document is uploaded but has questionable XML, you will get a message that it *might* be structurally invalid and you should select print/view to check structure.

5) Date, time, and action stamps appear on documents when viewed on the history page.
