With the end of the year in sight, it is time to plan for the "December carry-over," which runs between December 1 and the first day of the General Assembly's next session. In anticipation of the carry-over, mid-to-late November is traditionally a heavy filing time. If you plan to file proposed rules in November, now is the time to request the rules for drafting from LSC through the Rule Filers Website at http://www.registerofohio.state.oh.us/RuleRequest/jsps/chooseOption.jsp.

Requests received now can probably be fulfilled by early November. However, because of the expected high volume of requests, LSC cannot guarantee that requests received much after November 13 can be ready for you in time to file before December 1. The earlier you request your rules, the more likely they will be ready when you need them.
